Location & directions

Land's End is located right at the end of Highway 1, opposite the famous Bluff Signpost.

As you enter Bluff, keep following the road. When you've reached the end of the road, you will see Land's End on your right.

Situated on the Bluff's wild, rugged coast at the very end of the South Island, Land's End has uninterrupted views of Stewart Island, Foveaux Strait and the Catlins coastline to Fortrose.

Activities

Just outside our door is the entrance to The Foveaux Walkway through native bush. Short and longer walks can be enjoyed here.

The Bluff Hill lookout is a short drive away and on clear days gives expansive and defined views of continuous coastline and offshore islands.

Bluff also offers opportunities for fishing, swimming and diving, which are enhanced by our long summer daylight hours that stretch out until 10.30pm.

Fishing at Bluff Harbour

The southern light or Aurora Australis can be seen occasionally across the southern skies.
